Whatever needs clearing, there is a firm for it

Nineteen kinds of clearance, and every one has its own guide: what actually happens, what decides the price, and what to check before you book anyone. Written from the trade, not from a brochure.

Three steps, no chasing

  1. 1 Tell us about the property

Postcode, rough size, how full it is and anything awkward about the access. Ninety seconds, and photos help but are not required.

  2. 2 Up to three firms quote

Only firms that cover London & the South East and hold a current licence see it. Fixed prices in writing, usually inside a day.

  3. 3 Pick one and book

Message them through us, agree a date, and pay the firm directly at the price they quoted. ClearSorted costs you nothing.

Questions people ask before choosing

How much does a clearance cost?
It depends on volume, access and what is in the property rather than a flat rate. A whole house in London typically runs £580 to £1,545, and every service page carries a full price table. Your actual price comes from the firms’ written quotes.
How quickly can I get quotes?
Quotes usually arrive within 24 hours, and most jobs are booked inside a week. If you have a completion date or a check-out, say so and we match firms with capacity for it.
Are the companies vetted?
Every firm is checked against the Environment Agency waste carrier register, holds at least £2m public liability insurance, and gives references we actually call, before it is allowed to quote anyone.
Can I compare multiple quotes?
That is the whole point: up to three firms price the same brief, side by side, and your details are never sold beyond them. Compare, ask us which we would pick, or walk away, it is free either way.
What happens to everything that is taken?
Good firms clear in layers: resale first, with the value declared on your quote, then charity donation, then recycling, with licensed disposal last. Ask any firm for its waste transfer note.
Can items go to charity?
Usable furniture, clothing, books and white goods are donated with receipts on request. One honest caveat: charities can only resell upholstered furniture that still carries its fire safety labels.
